The West Michigan Aviation Academy girls basketball team made quick work of its non-conference opponent on Wednesday evening, scoring a 57-10 victory over Creative Technologies Academy (Cedar Springs).
The Aviators raced out to a 22-2 lead after the first quarter with a couple of buckets from Bre Holmlund kicking off scoring. Audrey Mileski sank a couple 3-pointers and Sierra Greer added another from behind the long line in the quarter, as well.
WMAA took a 37-6 lead into the locker room at half time and coasted the rest of the way.
Seven Aviators scored in the win, led by Greer with 16 points and Mileski with 14 points. Holmlund also finished in double-digits with 10 points.
Ava Bazuin finished her night with eight points followed by Grace McConnon (4 points), Deb Ebosele (3 points) and Addison Turk (2 points). All 10 Aviators saw the floor.
Before returning to Alliance League play, the Aviators will travel to Kalamazoo on Friday evening to face Heritage Christian Academy. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.
