All 13 available West Michigan Aviation Academy girls basketball players saw the floor on Tuesday night as the Aviators knocked off Creative Technologies Academy by committee with a 39-28 victory.
The Aviators turned to defense to gain the advantage, holding the Chargers to three first quarter points and just five points at the half. WMAA owned an 18-5 lead at the break.
The Aviators saw a 15-point offensive burst in the third quarter, fueled by Vixie Moore, who drained there straight midrange shots from the wing for all six of her points.
The Chargers starting hitting shots late in the contest, but the surge fell short.
Aliesje Knight had a double-double for WMAA, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds. She was accompanied by Sierra Greer, who added seven points in the victory as well.
A whole host of Aviators got in on the scoring effort, including Katie Woodruff (3 points), Bre Holmlund (3), Marissa Baas (2), Kim Mayor (2) and Emma Haigler (2).
The Aviators continue to alternate wins and losses on the year and sit at an even 7-7 in the standings. They’ll host Grand River Prep on Friday night.
