The Aviators Baseball team played a competitive first game of the doubleheader against Belding on Tuesday night but came up a little short losing 14-4. They entered the fifth inning tied at 3 but a few errors and a couple key hits by Belding opened the lead. Drew Flick started the game and went 5 innings giving up 3 hits while striking out 9 batters. Nate Pisciotta paced the offense with 2 hits and Will Myrick had an opening inning double. The Aviators runs were scored by Micah Goodman, Eliot McNutt, Myrick and Pisciotta.
In game 2 the Aviators came out strong and scored five runs in the top of the first inning but gave up 4 in the bottom of the inning. The Aviator runs were scored by Goodman, Myrick, Braeden Mowry, Flick and Caleb Sperring. Will Myrick started the game at pitcher for WMAA and gave up one hit while striking out one. The game was suspended because of darkness after 2 innings.
The WMAA Baseball team will next be in action at Kalamazoo Heritage on April 13 at 4:30 and 6:30.
