Aviators News · Greer, Mileski and Holmlund represent WMAA as All-Alliance League selections

The West Michigan Aviation girls basketball team was well represented after Alliance League coaches voted this weekend to compile the honorary all-league teams.

Senior Sierra Greer became the first girls player from WMAA to receive all-league first team honors. Greer was an All-Alliance League second team honoree last season, and after another strong year, the coaches placed her amongst the eight-team league’s top seven players.

Greer was joined on the first team by Gift Omakpo (Potter’s House), Kelly Leep (Zion Christian), Lillian Jackson (Wellspring), Kendra Leep (Zion Christian), Lilly Klop (Potter’s House) and McKenna Wilson (Fruitport Calvary).

In conference play, Greer averaged 9.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.1 steals a game. She scored 14 points against both Grand River Prep and Wellspring Prep.

Sophomore Audrey Mileski was named to the All-Alliance League second team, joining an additional six players from around the conference. In league play, Mileski averaged 9.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.1 steals. She drained 10 3-pointers in conference play, as well.

Mileski’s best conference game was a 17-point performance against Holland Black River.

Rounding out WMAA’s honorees was senior Bre Holmlund, who took one of the four honorable mention slots available. Holmlund averaged 8.3 points and 9.0 rebounds in Alliance League play this year.
